Television Viewing for Babies and Toddlers
With respect to how much TV viewing is recommended for babies and children under the age of 2 years, the American Academy of Pediatrics has issued its answer in essentially one word: None. Their research has indicated that there is no benefit, only potential harm, associated with TV viewing at such a young age. On the other hand, the researchers have wisely recognized that “Zero TV” is not very realistic in today’s world, so they put a cap at “2 hours per week for children up to the age of 2 years.”
